We had the opportunity to drive the sexy Ford Fusion
Our goal is to provide you with a review on the following areas.
- Would it be comfortable for a long drive?
- Is it family friendly?
- Is it gas efficient?
We traveled from Miami to Lakeland on our first trip usually after a couple of hours in the same car your back begins to ache and the seats are no longer comfortable.
On the Fusion I was utterly surprised on its comfort!
What made it this comfy?
The seats were adjustable and soft. The passenger side has a great leg room. On the door of the passenger side there is enough space for reading material and water bottles. I used this space quite a bit for a book, water and a make up bag.
What amazed mostly is the trunk space. We stacked 4 suitcases, a big sign, camera case with tripod and 2 hiking bags.
Is the Ford Fusion Family Friendly?
As I mentioned trunk space was a big plus for us. Back seat easily fit 3 kids comfortably or 2 kids with one car seat – that was a little tight. Each child can easily have a tablet or toys comfortably without disturbing the passenger side. On the passenger side easily reclines to reach for lost toys or pacifiers. Back seat would easily fit a cooler for baby bottles or snacks.
Is the Ford Fusion really gas efficient?
As I mentioned we drove to Lakeland a total of 5 hour drive. We barely hit the half a tank mark. At one point we were getting 38 miles per gallon. The Ford Fusion was extremely generous on gas.
Overall aside from just efficiency it is a beautiful car inside and out. We drove a Sunset color that was just gorgeous.
